Rachel's Big Party, The Continuation

In case you missed yesterday's post, Dave wrote a Franklin book for her birthday. Here is the rest of the story...

Rachel hurried home, and told her Mommy and Daddy all about the idea of having an Owl theme for the party. They both agreed that it was a great idea, and everyone started working on getting ready. Some of Franklin’s friends in Woodland even showed up to help out.
Fox came by, and asked if there was something he could help with. Rachel’s Daddy was just starting to find pictures of Rachel to make a big “three”, and asked Fox if he could lend a hand. Together, Fox and Rachel’s Daddy picked the best pictures of Rachel from the past year, and put them up on the wall in the shape of a giant “three”.
Next, Moose walked in, and noticed that the ceiling was looking pretty bare. He asked if he could help put streamers up, to make the room look like it was ready for a party. Rachel’s big brother, Sam said he wanted to help, too, and so the two of them put red, blue, green and yellow streamers up all around the room. When they were done, the ceiling looked like a rainbow!
The last thing that needed to be made was the cake made out of cupcakes, which Rachel’s Mommy made every year. This year, of course, the cake was going to be shaped like an owl. But Rachel’s Mommy had never made an owl-shaped cake before, and she wasn’t sure where to start. Just then, Beaver showed up, and she and Rachel’s Mommy planned the cake out together. Then, after Rachel’s Mommy had made the cupcakes and mixed the icing, Beaver decorated the cupcakes so that the cake looked like a big owl.
Finally, they were ready for the party! Everybody came and had a great time, and the cake was delicious. Everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to Rachel, and she had lots of fun playing with all her friends.
Rachel had a wonderful birthday, thanks to all the help from Franklin and his friends.

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
