Living The High Life

Welcome to everyone visiting from Kelly's Korner in March 2013. We took a trip to New York City this past October. We went on The High Line (this post) and on a tour of The Hudson River (the next post). Thanks for stopping by.

The High Line in New York City is an old subway line which has been revitalized into a walking path with interesting seating arrangements, great views and wonderful green spaces. And it is an elevated path so you get a very unique perspective of the city. Today Aunt Bobbi took us into the city and we checked it out. The High Line goes from 12th Avenue to 30th Avenue and we walked from 16th Ave to 30th Ave. I loved it! As you will be able to tell by all the pictures I am posting. Sorry if it is overload but there were just so many cool things to photograph.
I had to include the above picture of Dave and I because he HATES when I take self-portraits, as you can tell by his grimace. And some of my favourite pictures from today I am showing off in a large size so that you can really appreciate them. If you ever get to New York City I definitely recommend doing this amazing walk.

  1. My brother and dad walked that the last time they visited. I can't wait to try it. My mom and I take a girl's trip to NYC once a year. Looks so fun!

  2. I'm stopping by from Kelly's Korner Show Us Your Life. I'm having such a great time looking at everyone's vacation photos. It's also giving my husband and I some new ideas for places we might want to visit.

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
