I thought I'd document my outfit for my first full day of work yesterday. (Last week I just did a few half days in and among volunteering at VBS.) Unfortunately, I decided to get Dave to take a picture shortly after I got home and Rachel decided that she couldn't bear to be separated from me just yet. So we did a few mother-daughter poses.
Then we tried an individual shot again, but Rachel photobombed it at the last minute.
So I thought I would tickle her, in hopes that she would run away from me and Dave could quickly snap a picture. The look of shock, and then complete laughter, is because my plan totally backfired and I ended up accidentally pushing Rachel over. #parentingfail
Fortunately, she thought it was hilarious, probably because she didn't land on the mess of blocks.
Finally though, I got a picture, by myself, documenting what I wore for my first full day of work in over four years.
t-shirt -- Joe Fresh
skirt -- American Eagle (but a handmedown from my cousin)
necklace -- fundraiser from Willem's school a few years ago
Needless to say, I don't think I'll be trying to get pictures of my outfits anymore :)
Hahahaha- love the outfit, but love the struggle of getting a photo of it even more!!
ReplyDeleteThis post is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteLOL! That is so funny! I do love the outfit though. You look so nice!
ReplyDeleteHaha poor Rachel!! Hope your transition back into work hasn't been too rough! I'm glad you're excited about work clothes... I feel like I'm in a never ending battle to find work clothes!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty fortunate that my work place is fairly casual. I don't know that I'd go to work in shorts and a t-shirt but I can wear tank tops, jeans, and t-shirts which are nicer. But I'd probably pair the jeans with a fancier top, if that makes sense.
DeleteAwe, work clothes. I still have a love/hate relationship with them...probably because I still couldn't fit into most of mine. ;-)
