...we lit the candles and I got a picture just as one of them went out. You can see the smoke rising.
...we had hot chocolate and read all of our Chanukah books.
...we took self-timed photos of us cuddling on the couch in our pjs.
(And I apologize for the multiple postings these days. There are a lot of fun linky parties being hosted by some of the blogs I read and I want to participate in them. Plus each night of Chanukah deserves its own post. Hopefully this makes up for months when I don't have as much to say! Ha!)
It looks like your hot chocolate and stories were an awesome way to celebrate!!!! What an adorable family!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment about our family. That's very sweet of you to say.
DeleteThe brainwave of hot chocolate hit me at supper because I was cold. Sam (3 1/2) loved it and even Rachel (1 1/2) got in on the act as my husband spoon fed her some of his.
Dave and I spent some time last week figuring out what we were going to do on each night of Chanukah and that has been really helpful in having something special going on each night.
We're REALLY looking forward to planning for Mensch on the Mantle next year!
Awww, I love reading about how you are sharing these traditions with your kids! Just lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour menorah is so pretty! Love that picture.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was a wedding gift from my husband's grandparents and I love it.
DeleteYou seem to be missing my absolute favorite Hanukkah book, Herschel and the Hanukkah Goblins. I absolutely loved that book growing up, and think you if haven't seen it, you definitely need to go looking for it.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog.
