Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd;
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack,
I don't care if I never get back.
Let me root, root, root for the home team,
If they don't win it's a shame.
For it's one,
two,
three, and you're safe,*
at the old ball game.

Awww, there is nothing that says summertime quite like a good game of baseball! I don't know how young they can start playing in your area, but around here Sam could definitely start playing t-ball if he's interested. Team sports are so great for boys! :-)
ReplyDeleteI miss games like this!! How fun!! (And being safe is so much better than being OUT.)
ReplyDeleteI used to go to our church softball games when I went to a church that played in a league - much fun.
Thank you for affirming my lyric change! And I really love watching our church ball games.
DeleteRead your post earlier this morning. Still have that song stuck in my head :p
