Week 15: Something That Excites Me And Fills Me With Joy

In the continuing series of why I am the lamest person ever (see my exciting relationship to food here), I am going to write about "something that excites me and fills me with joy." So while there are big things which obviously fit into that category like travel...
...reading books...
...and the Blue Jays...
... when I started thinking about what to write for this post, I decided to write about hanging out my laundry.
Yes, it's lame, but seriously, being able to hang my laundry makes me happy. It's a little sad how many pictures of laundry hanging on the line, or of me hanging out laundry, there are on my computer :)
And this may not be the first post I've written about hanging laundry.
It's free. It's relaxing. It's just a pure joy that I can indulge in as often as I want. And it's not bad for me. (And it's good for the environment.)

And it's not something which is limited to my backyard. I can indulge no matter where I am :)

So there you go... hanging out laundry excites me and fills me with joy.
Even when there's snow on the ground!

  1. This never fails to amuse me. Whenever I pass a house with laundry hanging out, I think of you! The only laundry I ever hang out is my cloth diapers (once in a blue moon...if it's a weekend day and it's sunny). It's no fun because I don't have sweet clotheslines and pins, I just use a collapsible drying rack that collapses at all the wrong moments. Maybe one day I'll try it your way. :)

  4. Love it--the clothesline is still on the never-ending to-do list for the house. :D

  5. You are definitely the only person I know who gets excited about doing laundry. Haha! You are welcome to come here and do mine anytime you want. I will put up a clothesline just for you. You already know how to use my washing machine and everything. ;-)

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
