The Skydome (now called The Rogers Centre but I refuse to call it that!)
is located right at the base of the CN Tower.
I was excited to take Sam and Rachel to their first major league baseball game and they LOVED it! We also bought them Jr Jays packages so they got a hat, a water bottle, various other things, and the chance to run the bases after the game.
Baseball and hot dogs go together like peanut butter and jam!
Eating cotton candy and Rachel signing her Jr Jays membership card
Watching the Astros' batting practice before the game.
I had to get a picture of my super expensive Coke.
Next time I'll bring my own Coke to the game.
Our entire care group except for Tim and Janice.
(And Elhana who's on a study term abroad.)
Running the bases after the game.
The Jays played the Houston Astros and won 7-2 (sorry Houston area blog friends) so it was a very exciting game. We had so much fun that our family is already eagerly planning our next Blue Jays' extravaganza!

I love baseball games! It's pretty cool that Jr Jays get to run the bases. I wish the Padres did something like that!
ReplyDeleteWe just signed up and I hope it's worth it. We'll have to take in some more games this summer to get the full benefit!
DeleteI would be more disappointed about "our" loss if I actually cared about baseball, but alas, I don't :) So I'm just glad you guys had a fun time!
ReplyDeleteIs it sad that my first thought when seeing the hotdog picture was "and there is a solid $20 in hotdogs!" and what? another 10 for the coke? gulp! I volunteered on a special needs bus trip to the game a few weeks ago and I wanted to cry just looking at the prices!
ReplyDeleteJealous of the running the bases! I bet they had a blast!!
I'm glad to see they got the full experience- COTTON CANDY! Screw hot dogs- cotton candy is what baseball games are all about!! Looks like yall had fun!
ReplyDeleteThat looks awesome!!
ReplyDeleteHow much fun!
ReplyDeleteAnd now I am jealous you all got to go to a major league game... And run the bases. That is the one pro sports team we don't have in our state. We have football, basketball and even hockey. Of course, our football and basketball teams have been a bit disappointing bit at least our hockey team is a champion team. I really wanted to take you all to a hockey game when you were here, but those tickets are so expensive. Sigh. Since Eddie is a Mets fan and I grew up a Yankees fan, we just haven't had an opportunity to do a real MLB game. Maybe when we do our big New York trip.
