The Weekend Why

Why was this past weekend so great???
Was it because we had two amazing laundry hanging days in a row
and I got nine loads of laundry done?
Was it because we got to eat our first meal outside?
Was it because Sam ate five piece of asparagus for supper?
(And not much else!)
Was it because I found these matching hats for Sam and Rachel in our hand me down boxes?
And Rachel insisted on wearing hers even though it was way too big?
Was it because Sam and Rachel ate a snack at their new picnic table (Yay garage sale find!), while wearing their bike helmets? Safety first!
Was it because Rachel planted herself in the neighbour's planter?!?
Was it because I got to do a ton of yard work???
(See yesterday's post for more details.)
 I planted...
...and edged our beds with scissors!
Was it because my flowers are starting to grow?

I think it was all of the above!

  1. I love all these smiles for my day! And I have to say - your clothespins are really cute! Way more fun and colorful than the wooden ones Mom used! I do love the bike helmets at the table. Perhaps I should take up that tradition....

    1. You can never be too safe while eating :)

And I'm glad I gave you some smiles!

  2. What a great weekend! Somewhere in the depths of my garage, I think I have the makings of a clothes line. Are you clothes crunch after you hang them?

  3. Looks like a great weekend! I'm just a little bit bitter because it was more than 10 degrees colder here than it was there (and same thing yesterday, too!). Not impressed!

    1. Blah. I hope the warmer weather gets your way soon. Of course, you will be here soon so you'll get great weather then!

  4. Woo!! What a fabulous weekend!! So exciting that your flowers are starting to bloom!!

  5. That might be the cutest picture of laundry I've ever seen! (And, of course, cute kiddos, too!)

  6. I love the one of her in the planter!

  7. That does sound like a great weekend! We spent a lot of time outdoors too, but no yard work for me. We did eat our first meals outside too. Really yummy baby back ribs on the grill for Eddie's mama's birthday. :-)

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
