Week 28: What Do I Want

This is technically Week 30 of the 30 Week Writing Challenge but I'm just now writing on the topic for Week 28. Week 30 has been postponed to next week due to a timely post I will be writing for tomorrow.

So what do I want?

Immediately, I want twelve hours of uninterrupted sleep. I technically slept for almost sixteen hours on Tuesday but that was because I had a migraine combined with nausea, and it was very interrupted what with my alarm clock and phone calls, so I don't count that.
Oh lovely bed, if only I could spent more time with you.

In the near future, I would like our children to get over the post-Christmas, back to school blues, and Stop. The. Meltdown. Madness. every afternoon between 3:40 and 5pm. It's been out of control these past few weeks.
This is an old picture but, sadly, my current reality.

In the next month or so, I want a vacation to somewhere warm. I know we had major amounts of vacation last year, but given that winter has hit with a vengeance this week (currently -19C (-3F) with windchill), I would love to just get away and maybe do this again:
Why can't I always read in a hammock on a hot day with a cold drink? Why?

Always and forever, I will want a good book and lots of time to read it. I will never stop wanting that!
And a stack of good books combined with flowers is pretty much perfection!

And in a less selfish, "it's not always all about me" way, I want world peace and an end to climate change.

So that's what I want. What do you want?

Oh, and I also want this writing challenge to continue because it's been fun to write, and read, along with Emily and Amanda as they've also tackled these topics. But major high fives to them because they actually both managed to tackle all 30 topics in a very timely fashion, unlike yours truly. Ahem.

  3. I'm sorry that you weren't feeling well. My Addi has been suffering from the post Christmas/back to school funk too. My goodness! It's not been fun. Next time you do a writing challenge, let me know. I might really do it with you this time. ha ha! I've really enjoyed this!

  4. I told Jason this weekend that I want a week by myself in a hotel where all I do is eat and sleep and maybe read a little. ;) Don't think it's going to happen anytime soon, but it's nice to dream!

  5. I have really enjoyed reading these little insights into your life and mind. Haha to the tantrum and meltdowns! I laugh only because we are pretty much leading parallel lives right now so I completely understand and empathize. Anyway, I would love to join in one of these writing prompt events next time.

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
