The title is supposed to translate as
Sam's First Day Of School
but my French may not be perfect :)
Sam had his first day of Grade 1 yesterday. It was raining in the morning so these pictures were taken in the three minutes it wasn't raining. I was still in my pajamas because I am Sam had the idea that I should take a picture of him tipping his hat. As I was working on the sign he commented, "Then we'll use this to take pictures of me tomorrow, right Mommy? And I will have my backpack and my hat, right?" He knows how it works.
Sam is in French Immersion now which means that he'll have English half the day and French half the day. I've heard good things about both his teachers and his good friend from the past two years is in his class. I think he's going to have a great year!
Here are some "back to school" questions I asked Sam on Monday. Enjoy his answers!
Best Friend: I have five best friends, Tanner, Liam M., Leo, Owen, and Joe. Also you (mommy) and Daddy.
Favourite Colour: all the colours!
Favourite thing about school: Probably science.
Favourite book: I don't really know. (He's like his mommy, he can't pick a favourite!)
Favourite game: All the games we have -- Monopoly, Bonanza.
Favourite thing about the summer: Going to Silver Lake! (where he went to camp)
What do you want to be when you grow up? A spy.

I hope Sam has a great year at school!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! He seems excited about it thus far.
DeleteNatasha - your little man is growing up!!! He looks so big. I really wish we had language immersion schools here. That would be awesome. I can't wait to hear how well he learns French this year.
ReplyDeleteA spy. :D
