"Little Boys, Strollers, And Pregnant Women!"

Today we're having a mini-getaway in Toronto. The main purpose is so that Dave can apply for his US passport, but since Sam has a PD day, we're also planning to add some excitement to the day! You can read about it on the blog next week :)

So today on the blog, we're going to go back a couple of weeks to when we went to Mighty Machines with some good friends. These friends are blognonymous so you won't see any pictures of them though. This, and eating lunch at Harvey's after, is a tradition that is now in its third year. The post title comes from the fact that we were talking about how this showcase appeals to a certain demographic. My friend commented, "It's all little boys, strollers, and pregnant women!" Since we had three little boys and one pregnant woman (not me!), we fit right in. Ha ha ha!!!

Besides the annual "family picture in a big tire" photo, we did see some other interesting machines. My highlight was that I got to sit in a helicopter, however the pictures of that aren't that great, but check out what else we saw.

So if you ever do plan on coming to visit, make sure you plan to come during Mighty Machines -- it's well worth it!

  1. That looks like so much fun! We go to our annual Truck Touch in May and the kiddos always love checking out the equipment.

    1. It's always the first Saturday in September. For the past two years it's been at Bingeman's and this year they moved it to Chicopee. It's a really awesome event!

  5. I love the pictures of Rachel covering her ears and sitting in the pink truck. Oh and the big tire pictures are awesome! Sounds like I could double up on a trip for my birthday and Mighty Machines. ;-)

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
