(I can bake bread, I just never do. Why?)
Yep, that's right. I baked bread. And because you are just that lucky (hahaha!) you
I had a helper for the first part. Sam was excited to get me ingredients and help dump the "sugar" as he called it. Don't worry, I didn't actually use twelve cups of sugar in this bread! Sam thought the yeast was pretty cool to see and he liked it when I stuck my hands into the dough to knead it.
The bread dough is ready for its first rising.
I let the loaves rise a little long while we were eating supper and so they outgrew their pans a bit. And obviously I can't evenly divide dough into thirds. Oh well. The bread is successfully baked! Whoo hoo!!! The unevenness of the loaves is even more apparent here.
I'm a proud baker with my bread. And yes, I'm already wearing my pajamas because we spring cleaned a couple of rooms today and I am exhausted. Plus the whole bread baking thing took some energy. Would it be bad if our whole family lived in the two rooms we finished today and we didn't bother with the rest of the house?!?!?
Yum! And your apron is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of baking bread! You loaves turned out more even than any of mine could. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of baking bread too. I wish I could bottle that smell and just have that instead of having to do all the work of baking the actual bread! Ha ha ha!
