I Spy: Week 20

I'm late with linking up with Lysha at A Camera and A Cookbook for I Spy. However, you will see below why we've had a low key weekend plus, yesterday was a holiday Monday here in Canada. We celebrated Victoria Day so we had a three day weekend and the key word of the weekend was "relax."

Let's Play iSpy 2021

  {house (spring)quarterly pic}

The picture on the left is one I took last week and the one on the right is one I took a few weeks ago. I really feel like when the tree in our front yard blooms, that's "spring" to me. You can see the pansies and ranunculus in the window boxes and the daffodils blooming in the beds if you click on the pictures and view them larger.

{upside down}

Rachel LOVES doing gymnastics (self-taught) right now and is always "upside down" -- whether it's through doing cartwheels or trying a new trick on the swing :)

{happy things}

Dave got vaccinated on Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If this isn't a "happy thing," I don't know what is!!! It also meant that we didn't plan a lot because we didn't know how the shot would effect Dave -- he was a little more tired, but other than that he was fine.

{ink}

A few years ago, on Christmas Eve, I stress bought 100 gel pens. Half of them went in the kids' Christmas stockings, and the other half have been sitting on my desk. Having colourful "ink" makes me happy, especially when I can line it up in colour order :)

{your choice}

We needed to go to our Uptown on Sunday around lunch, and we walked by a food truck advertising lobster roll sandwiches. We decided to splurge and Dave and I shared a lobster roll and a poutine and it was more than enough for both of us. It was such a fun treat and something to make the long weekend a little extra special!

  1. Sometimes I feel like you and I are on the exact same wavelength! I have been craving a Lobster Roll. Also, I have some pansies in my yard that are still doing ok even though it is getting a little too warm here...anyway, I always think of you when I see them. :)

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
