And thus, we've gotten enough snow in the past fifteen hours that schools, including both universities, are closed, Dave hasn't left for work yet (even though it's past 10am), and I'm not sure we'll excavate our car anytime before Wednesday! Updated at 11am: Um... even though most of the post-secondary institutions in our area are closed, the University of Waterloo is bravely (ridiculously?!) remaining open. Ummm... why?!?!?
(This is not the post I had planned for today, by the way, and even though I've had the original post written for a week, the snow made that post irrelevant. That original post will be relevant again soon though. This is such a mysterious aside, isn't it?!)
On the bright side we leave for Mexico in TEN DAYS so I'm saying, "Bring It On Winter!" Quietly. To myself.
Maybe it will snow here in Georgia...opps.... :)
ReplyDeleteIt does make your house look so idyllic and lovely though!
ReplyDeleteIt was beautiful for the first few days. Now it's all gross and dirty snow everywhere. Fun times!
DeleteHahahaha oh man, I hate when Mother Nature eavesdrops on my thoughts!!! Sorry yall are so buried- and that Dave's university is INSANE!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! That's just crazy. We've only had one snow this season so far. If anyone deserves a trip to sunny Mexico, it's you all!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh yes. The perils of thinking. They've gotten me a few times too! Jealous that you get to head to WARMTH!!!!! But so glad you are able to be home and SAFE!
ReplyDeleteI was glad to stay home as well. And I CAN'T WAIT to head south. I just wish I could bring all of you with me :)
DeleteIt was the saddest thing waking up this morning to hear about the snow day and then realize that I'm an adult who has to go to work anyways. But I made it on time - tell Dave he's a wimp ;) (except I'm actually really jealous because I really didn't want to go!)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I really think workplaces should close on days like Monday as well. Dave did eventually leave for work and then his boss left early to "go shovel!" Ha ha ha!!!
DeleteJinxed! ;)
ReplyDeleteWell, we are likely going to be jinxed in the opposite way. We want to see a little snow, but since my "thoughtful" husband insisted on buying Evan a new snowsuit at Target this weekend (while we are having weather close to the 60s every day), we will likely see no snow at all this winter. Sigh. Just try your best to send us a little of this white stuff before you head off to Mexico, okay?
