Today, the main event was heading off to Crickle Creek, a nearby ice cream stand/mini golf/bouncy castle play area, to meet up with Natasha's cousin Krista, her kids Jake and Parker, and Natasha's aunt Myrna. Since Jake and Parker are 6 and 4, we figured Sam would have a great time playing with them on the various bouncy structures.
Sam, however, took a while to warm up to the idea of bouncing around on the castles, slides, pirate ships, etc. In fact, for the first hour or so, he spent most of his time here, on a decidedly non-bouncy play structure.
Eventually, however, he grew confident enough to climb into...
and out of...
the entrances to one of the structures.
After that, he had a blast playing in one of the less-overwhelming bouncy structures...
... and definitely got the hang of bouncing and rolling around.
He also had a lot of fun splashing around in the dirt and muck which, as you can see by taking a look at his pant legs, is clear as mud.

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
