July 10th was the most fun day this year! We started our family summer vacation with a stop to visit Emily and family just outside of Philadelphia! The kids have been asking to go back ever since our first visit just over a year ago. (You can read about that visit here.) We arrived at Emily's the day before and just hung out that afternoon and evening. The kids got reacquainted and enjoyed sleeping all together in the family room.

We were very excited to spend part of the day at their pool. After visiting we are envious of their snack bar where we had a really good lunch!
That evening we headed to a Phillies game!!! We had so much fun!!!

We enjoyed exploring the park before the game started, finding some unique foods to eat (Dave had a cheesesteak!), and visiting the team store.
I loved seeing the Philadelphia skyline from our seats. And thankfully we were in the shade so it wasn't to terribly hot. It was a gorgeous evening for baseball and we had so much fun!!!

We had so much fun visiting Emily and her family, going to a baseball game, and just kicking off our summer road trip. And there was more fun (and baseball - hahaha!) to come!
OH that does look like a great day! I love a good philly cheesesteak sandwich (and funny enough I don't love most of the ingredients in it either but when combined together they are really good).
