10 On The 10th: March 2024 (Featuring Mexico And Pirates)

For the first time this year, my "10 on the 10th" pictures were actually taken on the 10th of the month! This was an exciting 10th, and it was hard to pick just 10 pictures. This is the day we stopped in Cozumel, Mexico and had a Pirate Party in the evening.

In the morning, Rachel and I had a meet up with Iron Man!
We did an excursion this day to go tour some Mayan Ruins. This was a huge bucket list item for Dave, as he'd studied the Mayans back in 6th grade and had been hoping to see ruins ever since. Our tour guide was of Mayan descent so we got an amazing tour.
Then we got to learn about making Mayan chocolate! And yes, we got to taste some and yes, it was really good!
Our last stop was the least exciting -- we went to an ocean resort for about an hour and a half. However, the beach wasn't very nice so Rachel and I swam in the pool for a bit. Thankfully, we knew we were getting a better beach day in a few days. We grabbed a picture at the "Cozumel" sign.
We also got a family picture in front of our ship.
I liked the perspective of seeing two large ships in port across from each other. We went back to the pool deck on our ship and we were able to observe the goings on on the other ship. That was fun!
That night we celebrated Pirate Night! It was really fun and we laughed a lot at supper.
Fireworks at sea is always really special.
And after the Pirates In The Carribean party, Rachel was a part of a Flash Mob! She really enjoyed this opportunity and Dave and I loved watching her participate in it.

So that was our very special 10th of March.

  1. So fun! We saw Mayan ruins too. I'm pretty sure I fell asleep before the fireworks, I have to take anti seasick meds and they made me super tired!

  2. This looks like such fun. The Mayan ruins intrigue me. That photo of the people between the ships -- boy! The people look so tiny! Wonderful scale. Thanks for popping by Marmelade Gypsy from Joanne's!

  3. Such a fun day! We really enjoyed seeing the Mayan ruins too and both agreed that Cozumel was the highlight of our last cruise.

  4. This looked like so much fun!! We did a Princess & Pirates party in WDW one year that was a blast. It was cool seeing the two ships next to each other.

  5. My family and I will likely never (never say never but I can confidently say that is incredibly likely...) go on a Disney cruise or back to Disney- we just don´t care for the company at all and don´t want to support it. However, I know that our views are just that, our views on the subject and I enjoy seeing pictures of families that are having a good time together. I like the picture of the two huge cruise ships. Amazing vessels!!

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
