Friday Favourite Moments 2025 #14

Another Friday, another list of favourite moments from my week. There have been more than a few stressful moments this week, but there have also been a lot of good ones.

1) Mom's surgery

While the surgery itself was not a favourite moment, it went well and my absolute favourite moment of the week was the short FaceTime call I had with Mom when she was out of recovery!!! What a relief, and a joy, to see her face!!! And thank you for all of your prayers and comments yesterday.

2) Sam turned 16

Sam's party went so well, hie friends were so polite and well behaved, and I think Sam felt well celebrated! I wrote about my absolute favourite moment of his birthday party in my Currently post (which you can check out here for more of Sam's birthday) but I think it bears repeating:

I loved listening to Sam and his friends wake up in the basement on Sam's actual birthday. One of his friends said, "Happy actual 16th birthday Sam!" and then all his friends sang "Happy Birthday" to him. It was so sweet and I just about cried.

3) Sam drove!!!

In our province, you can write a learner's test once you turn 16, and then, if you pass, you get your learner's licence. So on Monday, I took Sam to the driving place and he wrote his test, passed with flying colours, and later that day, he drove. It was a big moment!!!

4) Watching the Jays

I don't think I can truly explain to you how happy baseball makes me (except when it doesn't - HAHAHAHAHA!!!) but having cancelled plans on Wednesday, and being able to curl up on the couch under a blanket watching the Jays play (and win!) a game of baseball, was also a favourite moment for me this week.

So that was our big week around here. I hope you found moments of joy in your week, no matter what else was going on. I also hope you have a great weekend.

  1. I tell my son all the time, even bad baseball is better than no baseball! Baseball season just ameks me happy. Like you said, until it doesn't. LOL. Have a great weekend and go Royals!

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
