I know, I know, it's February 11th. This means you should be reading about February's "10 on the 10th" but today you get to see January's. If all goes well (meaning I have time and nothing else goes wrong), I will post February's tomorrow. But for today, let's head back to January. The weekend of January 10th was our church's winter retreat so you get a mix of photos from that weekend, mostly from January 10th, but a few from the 9th and 11th -- if you care :)
After a week of having her bed on the floor, Rachel felt like her upper bunk bed was "sooo roomy"!
The theme of the weekend was "nesting" so we played a lot of bird/feather group games.
The first night, and day, were almost spring like. I loved this photo of the snow melting in the forest.
Tim and I walked to Lake Huron and I loved playing on the different kinds of ice. It was so fun!
Rachel really wanted to do a horse and carriage ride this winter so, when the opportunity to go on one came up, I was all in! It was really fun!!! Except horse farts smell really bad.
It snowed on Saturday night so I enjoyed a much more wintry walk in the woods with friends on Sunday afternoon. I also enjoyed a fresh cinnamon bun.
It really was a lovely weekend with my church family. I always look forward to this weekend.

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
