10 On The 10th: July 2025

I started taking picture of my July 10th but it wasn't that exciting of a day and, by the end of the day, I had only taken a few pictures. The next night though (July 11th), I took more than enough pictures to make up for it so here are ten pictures from our evening at a lavender farm.

I follow a couple of "local interest" accounts on Instgram, and I discovered this Golden Hour Picnic through them. I'd asked Dave about it last year and he just didn't seem all that interested. So when it popped up this year, I asked Janice if she'd want to do it with me. She texted back saying Tim was all in too! Thus, Dave got dragged along. Hahaha! And we had the most fun evening in an incredible setting.

As soon as we got out of the vehicle, we could smell the lavender. It smelled amazing!

Janice and I got a lovely picture of the two of us in the lavender fields...
...while Tim and Dave took a ... sillier... one!
You could choose to sit a a picnic table or on blankets, among the lavender. We sat on blankets which meant we were right in the midst of the lavender. It was so beautiful! Even though, as we age, sitting on the ground is a little more complicated for all of us, we all agreed it was well worth it!
The food was a charcuterie picnic and it was delicious! I especially enjoyed the edible flowers and taking pictures of my lavender Gouda with the lavender in the background!
Dave and I among the lavender!
There was about a one minute "sun shower" (rain while the sun is shining) and then, the most beautiful rainbow appeared over the farm. I don't know if it shows up really well in this photo but it absolutely added to the magicalness of the evening.
Janice and I popping up above the lavender! As we were sitting in the midst of the lavender all you could see was lavender and other people's heads. It was pretty funny!

So this was our evening at a lavender farm. We all want to go back next year -- even Dave -- because we had so much fun!

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
