It's the second Monday of the month so I'm linking up with the Share Our Lives bloggers. Today we're blogging a "regular day in the life." I picked Wednesday, February 27 because I thought it might be a somewhat interesting day. As a reminder, Share Our Lives is hosted by Sarah, Dara, Joanne, Adrienne, and Jen. (Click on each name to go their blogs.)
Every morning starts with me turning on the coffee maker and picking a mug from my extensive mug collection. This day I was excited about baseball being back so I picked my Blue Jays mug! It was 6:03am when I came downstairs to start my day.

I drank my coffee-hot chocolate, did the Wordle, and caught up on some blogging.
Dave came down around 6:45, got himself some coffee, and we connected about our day. It was at this point that I discovered our provincial election was being held the next day and going to vote would not be on the agenda for that evening. Ooops.
I start getting ready for work around 7, so I got dressed, made my lunch, and did all the "getting ready" things. It was Pink Shirt Day in our board (an anti-bullying initiative which you can read more about
here) so I was wearing a lot of pink this day.
By 7:39am, I was on the path, walking to work. I noticed they were clearing some of the big snowbanks on one of the side streets, which was exciting! Hopefully they'll get to our street one of these days... (As of today, they haven't yet...)
By 8:00am I was at work where I spent the next seven and a half hours. My principal was painting people's pinkies with pink nail polish for Pink Shirt Day, I ate my breakfast pita, my co-worker shared a podcast her question was featured on, it was pizza day at school (my favourite day of the work week!), and finally, I changed the whiteboard information for the next day. I also did all my work duties :) (I'm a secretary at a Grade 7&8 school so my days are usually very full!).
I was walking home by 3:30. It had warmed up enough that some of our snow was melting and, as I was talking to Dave, waiting to cross the street, a bus went by and splashed water on me :( Grrrrrr. Other than that, the walk home was nice.
I got home and Sam and Rachel were watching the Blue Jays. Our family Christmas/Channukah present was a big screen and this was only the second day we had it. The kids were excited about the Jays and not excited about posing for a picture! Hahahaha!!!
This was the first night in five nights I'd been home (it had been an unusually busy week/weekend) and so I was excited to get "at home" tasks done. I cleaned off my desk, drank some Coke, folded laundry, and wrote a blog post for the next day, among other things.
Dave and the kids cooked supper which we ate around 5:45. Then we had some more of our ice cream from our ice cream workshop in January.
By 6:30, Dave and I were organizing more in the basement (we did luggage and gift wrap) and then we hung laundry and changed our sheets. I just have to go through all the Christmas/Channukah decorations and then I think the basement will be finally done! (Update: I got through the decorations this past Thursday and we had a very clean, organized basement for Sam to host a sleepover on Friday night!)
By 7:40, I was having some cranberry juice and tonic water (my latest obsession) and then I crawled into bed by 8:15 to read. I probably fell asleep around 9 or 9:30.
So that was my very exciting Day in the Life. Like I said, I thought I would at least go vote which would have been a little more interesting. However, most weekdays are just like this one -- going to work, coming home, doing house chores, going to bed.
Thank you to the Share Our Lives bloggers for hosting and later today, I'll hopefully be able to read some of the other posts. Maybe your lives are more exciting than mine :)
What a full day! I remember when Boston got the 8 feet of snow seeing them clearing the snow banks was the best sight!
