#tbt Virginia

Last year at this time we were on the first leg of our Southern Road Trip 2015. This was a pretty memorable vacation for our family so for the next few weeks, on Thursdays, I'm going to do a little #tbt to our trip.

Our first stop was Harrisonburg, Virginia, where we met up with Tim, Janice, Tessa, and Willem and they showed us around.

They showed us some of their favourite places to eat. And we checked out Cracker Barrel and I had my first sweet tea.
We checked out some Virgina sites, including The Bookfair, Dave's first visit to where Tim and Janice went to university, and the surrounding countryside.
And we visited Luray Caverns which were incredible.
Of course, our few short days in Virginia just whetted our appetite for another visit. Someday...

  2. Hi, Natasha! I have been reading your blog for years. I always enjoy the updates on your family and am a fellow bookworm. My friend Bekah introduced me to your blog. I live in Virginia on the far eastern side of the state by the ocean. I hope if you ever make it back to Virginia, you will come see the other side. It's totally different than the mountains, but just as beautiful. Glad you were able to come visit our great state.

    1. Hi Lynette! Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. I really appreciate you stopping by. And I think I "know" who you are from reading Bekah's blog :)

We'd love to get back to Virginia sometime and I would definitely love to see the coastal side. Maybe on our next trip...!

  4. I don't think I recall seeing some of these pictures or reading about all of your VA experiences. Did you blog about it all last year or did you never get caught up after all your traveling? I really wish you could come back to NC one day to see more of this state. There is so much more to see as you have seen from many of my posts this year. We have really enjoyed touring our own state this year and have many more things to see. And I think you still have lots to see and enjoy in VA too. I know the eastern shore and southeastern VA has a lot of rich history around the Chesapeake Bay. Yay for Cracker Barrel and sweet tea!!!

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
