10 On The 10th: December 2024

It's the last "10 on the 10th" of the year. Some of my favourites this year have been February (a special tea time), May (a visit to a tulip farm), July (hanging out with Emily & family in Philadelphia), and October (a short trip to New York to watch Willem play disc golf). I actually thought this month was going to be a regular boring day but, at the last minute, Janice invited me to her house for a Zoom baking class and it was so much fun!!!

My day started early (5:30am) with turning on my living room lights, appreciating our low key Christmas decorations, and laundry waiting to be folded.
By 7am, all the laundry was folded and I was enjoying a cup of coffee-hot chocolate. I don't normally spend all morning folding laundry but I didn't have a lot of other time this week to get it done.
The sky was a brilliant orange about ten minutes before this, but my 7:45am walk to work featured just a pleasant glow in the sky.
We also have some low key Channukah decorations out. I'm just not feeling the holiday decorating this year so "low key" is our theme. I didn't even do our outside ornaments.
All set with Tessa, Janice, and Zoom for our baking class.
Tessa rolling out the gingerbread dough.
Making the Chocolate Peppermint Blossoms.
Tasting the fruits of our labour.
Decorated gingerbread, Peppermint Blossoms, and Skor Shortbread. These cookies are all so good!!!

So that was my super fun 10th of December. I am excited to bake some of these cookies again.

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
