It's going to be short and sweet today but I wanted to do a "Currently" post. "Currently" is hosted by Jennifer at Overflowing With Thankfulness.
[loving]
While winter is never my favourite, I have to admit I was "loving" my views as I walked to work on Monday after our first snowfall of the season. It was so white and fluffy and just beautiful.
I am also "loving" every minute I get at home these days, as there's just so much going on this time of year. It's all good but I just want to sit on my couch and not do much!
And I am "loving" my weekly get togethers with my best friend, Janice. We eat supper, talk, watch a Hallmark movie -- it's never anything big but our time together is soooo good!
[looking forward to]
Rachel needs to decide which high school she is attending and I am "looking forward to" knowing what her decision is.
Sam, on the other hand, is attending his first semi-formal tonight and I am "looking forward to" seeing my kid, who usually lives in sweatpants, dressed up a little bit!
[buying]
Thus far, we have only bought two gifts so I need to get "buying" some more things STAT. Yikes.
[hoping]
I was sick this past Saturday so I'm really "hoping" I get two healthy days this weekend so I can get some decorating done, some yard items put away (no need for outdoor dining anymore!), and get to church on Sunday.
I'm also "hoping" for a snow day tomorrow so I can drink cranberry tea, eat Applesauce Jumbles, and watch some Hallmark movies on the couch. I'm tired.
[baking]
You all know what I'm "baking" these days! Say it with me now, "Holly's Applesauce Jumbles!!!" Recipe found here.
Wow, that snow! That is so fun to have a weekly gathering with your friend. Hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteSorry you were sick! Hope you get to do all the fun things soon.
ReplyDeleteI love how independent your kids are, so sweet they did their own baking. Your snow looks so pretty, only just today are we getting some of the white stuff in Toronto, but we aren’t expecting that much!! Stay warm. (Sarah @ Toronto SAM)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you've had a lot of snow. I do like snow but not shoveling it and driving in it. Yum, the cookies look so good. I do hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you were sick! I hope you get some free time to get some more things ticked off your to do list. How neat to see the kids growing up and baking, going to semi-formal dances, picking high schools, etc.
