It's time for the March version of "10 On The 10th." It was an absolutely gorgeous spring day as you will see in the photos below. The high was 16C (60F) which is the warmest temperature we've seen in months. So I took a lot of pictures of spring around here.
I know the time change is coming this weekend and the sunrise will be later but I was so excited to see the light before 7am. This picture was taken at 6:44am and I took about fifteen pictures of the sky as it changed.
I've been working as a substitute librarian for a few weeks so I felt like this was an appropriate mug to drink my morning coffee-hot chocolate from.
I hadn't yet updated our family calendar for March so I spent some time doing that. Our calendar is looking busier this month what with Rachel having dance three days in a row every week and some holidays happening. Plus I have a lot of self care appointments this month -- whooo hooo!!!
The only thing Rachel could think of to be excited about in March is her annual sip of Guinness on St Patrick's Day. To each their own!
No, I did not take this picture but I needed to showcase that I wore shoes without socks for the first time this spring. I also don't normally dress so casually for work but I've been shelf reading the picture books this week and I spend a lot of time on the floor. I hate crawling around in dress pants.
I LOVE seeing how much snow has melted. And when we woke up on Thursday morning, there was even more green showing in our backyard! Whoooo hoooo!!!
I think these are daffodils starting to poke their stems up! We're supposed to get a bit of snow next week so I hope it doesn't kill them.Sam made his curried shrimp soup for supper and it was as delicious as always! I love that this is his "specialty meal."
We hadn't seen Dave's parents since December 14th so we had a driveway get together to celebrate March birthdays. This was taken at 6:30pm and I love how much light there is! Plus the fact that it was warm enough to sit outside was glorious!!! (The wet spot on the driveway is from the melting snowbank by the fence.)
Dave's mom brought Turtle brownies and they were delicious.
So this was our amazing Spring "10 on the 10th." Now my April "10 on the 10th" will probably be extra cold to make up for it...
Love that sunrise and your cute spring outfit!
