It's time for "10 on the 10th" for March and this is the most exciting "10 on the 10th" post I've had in awhile. To recap, thus far in 2022, I was on bed rest in January and sick of winter in February. But for March, we were on a road trip!!! It was our first road trip in two years so we were super excited!!! We left the night before and drove a few hours before stopping in a hotel.
We loved the hotel breakfast. Sam was especially thrilled with all the bacon!
This is a super boring picture unless it's the first time you've seen another country (in the daylight) for the first time in two years! Then it's like, "Whooo hooo!!! We're not in Canada anymore!!!"
We were also really happy to be able to stop at Target again! We stopped because Dave forgot his hairbrush and spent almost $200, so it was a pretty typical Target visit. Hahaha!!!
We really enjoyed driving while taking in the fluffy snow on the trees. It was warm enough out that we could see big clumps of snow falling off the trees as we drove.
We LOVED meeting up with Jenna and her husband for lunch. Jenna is an Instagram friend I met through a readathon and this is the second time we've met up with them while driving to New York.
Road trips are exhausting and I'm glad the kids can still sleep in the car.
Soooooo excited to be turning left!!!
We got to have supper with Dave's aunt, uncle, and cousin, and meet his cousin's baby for the first time. S will be two in a few months and this was our first time to meet her. What a sweetie!!!
So that was our very exciting "10 on the 10th" for March! We were so happy to be on a road trip and meeting up with friends and family. I don't yet know what April's "10 on the 10th" will hold but it should be spring so life is looking up!!!
Yeah!!! This post made me so happy for you! Sounds like such a fun little trip and Praise God for getting back to normal! :)
ReplyDeleteHurray for adventures, family, and Target!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great road trip! We are now talking about maybe driving from NY to Canada in the summer.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy for you! Two years is too long to stop doing something you love and you clearly love to travel :)
ReplyDeleteLike Dorothy said in Wizard of oz - We're not in Canada anymore LOL - Canada, Kansas - all the same.
ReplyDeleteAhhh - memories of knocking out & sleeping in the back of a car on a road trip!
I mean, I go in for a loaf of bread at Target & spend $200.00
I'm so happy you were able to go on a trip outside Canada! It's exciting to see things opening up again!
ReplyDeleteOH yes this is such a fun 10 on the 10th (and going in for a hairbrush and spending $200 does seem like a typical Target trip).
ReplyDeleteSuper fun 10 on the 10th! I loved your Target post on IG, so typical to go in for 1 thing and leave with 75 haha!
