I Spy: Week 24

It's been a full few days of my work ending, Rachel's birthday, an unexpected week day with no internet (and thus no school and no work), and recuperating from my "starts with V" picture :) So I'm hoping to spend a lot of today blogging -- both writing some posts and catching up on some very belated blog reading. It's a rainy day with lots of thunderstorms predicted so, as long as our power doesn't go out, it's a good day to sit in front of the computer.

I'm starting back with my I Spy post which I would have liked to post on Saturday but, well, Friday evening happened first :) As always, for these posts, I'm linking up with Lysha at A Camera and A Cookbook.

Let's Play iSpy 2021

{starts with V}

I'm messing with the order of the prompts but this is the most important thing I spied (spyed?) this week: I got my second vaccine!!! I secured a last-minute appointment on Friday night. And okay, I didn't actually take this picture (Rachel did) but I'm still counting it!

Our family participated in our uptown business association's Amazing Race on Saturday. We had an idea of where we were headed because of the sponsors' advertising at the bottom of each clue. This race was also hosted by our library and we had a lot of fun. Even though I was exhausted from vaccine side effects, I managed to solve the clue above!

{delicious}

Janice gave me a teatime for Christmas and we finally got to take advantage of it on Friday afternoon. Everything was as delicious as it looked! Yum!!!

If you look in the middle of this picture, you might be able to see the bird feeding at the feeder on the left. I was very distracted watching all the birds in Tim and Janice's backyard during our teatime.

I always like to mark when the first day lily of the season blooms in our yard. This year I found it on June 18.

  3. Yay for teatime....although I can't actually drink sweet tea right now bec I'm on a diet. The snacks look so good.
    We recently set up a bird feeder but the local birds haven't found it yet. It is still fun to look out the window at it.

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
