Playing With Fire!

Today is our last full day in Saskatchewan before we head off on our four day drive towards home.
Last night we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and have a wiener roast.
Hot dogs taste so much better when roasted over a fire. Yum!

And then we got "poke sticks" and Sam (and Rachel. And I. And Dave!) all got to play with fire for a little.
There is nothing so relaxing as sitting around a campfire (even if it is built in an old washing machine out in your parents' backyard) and poking at it with a stick. If you haven't had that chance then you'll just have to trust me on this one :)

Read about days 14 through 16 here and here.

  1. Glad you all are having fun! We have a lot of sticks and logs in a pit in our backyard and haven't gotten around to lighting it yet...maybe soon. :)

  2. Ha!! What an excellent use of an old washing machine! I agree, though- not much more relaxing than sitting and poking a fire!

  3. How fun! The girls have been asking to roast marshmallows all summer. Gotta get on that even though we don't have an awesome fire pit!

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
