Memorizing Challenge: Part 2

So I started a new Bible study last week. It's Beth Moore Breaking Free and like most people (I assume) who have the opportunity to hear Beth Moore teach (through videos, not in person, although how amazing would that be!?!), I am hooked. She is so honest and funny and real. And she makes me think about things. That's a good thing!

So this past week I spent a lot of time in Isaiah (and 2 Chronicles and 2 Kings) and I found this verse, underlined by my grandma, which I picked as my second verse to memorize for the Siesta Scripture Memorizing Challenge 2013.

I love the following verse because I grew up the daughter of a tree farmer and a gardener so I love the imagery. And my grandma planted a garden until she was about 102 years old so that speaks to me too.

Isaiah 61:3b (NIV)

They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour.

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
