Worth The Wait

Tuesday afternoon was one of those perfect times which made up for all some of those rough days we survived this past winter. (In case you have forgotten, you can read this, this, and this to refresh your memory! And it's hard to believe we had that much snow in our yard just six (or so) short weeks ago.) But back to Tuesday...

Supper was leftovers so I stuck it in the oven and we headed outside. We were wearing Shorts! T-shirts! Flip flops or crocs!!! It was amazing!!! I mowed the front yard before Dave got home and then he (and Sam!) attacked the back yard.

After that we played a little ball!
Sam was the first batter up.
Then I attempted to teach Rachel a "proper batting stance."
Sam tried to psyche us out with his secret pitch.
Rachel decided to just throw for herself.
And then the storm clouds chased us inside where...
...Sam and Rachel practiced comforting each other when it thundered.

I can't wait for more days like this. Bring it on Summer!

  3. Yay for teaching the kiddos some good ol' American baseball! ;-) I love it. Sam looks like a pro! Whoa to those storm clouds, but I do actually love a good "summer" rain shower. Hope it was good for all your new plants!

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
