A HUGE Thank You, Continuing Education And Garlic

First of all, you may have noticed that our blog has received a huge makeover. It is all thanks to Sherry, my sweet blog friend from North Carolina. I just love the new look so much and am in awe of Sherry's talent. Thank you Sherry -- the blog design makes me smile every time I see it!

And second of all, I found a link you really need to read. My post about Dave and I going to New Zealand caused Natalie to delurk to identify herself as a fellow traveler of New Zealand. I've already pinned one of her posts about her trip to add to our "To Do List" but I wanted to send you all to this post. If you have any questions about Canada I didn't answer in this post, I'm sure Natalie has covered it. I loved all the information she provided.

And remember the vlog where I said Saskatchewan a whole bunch of times because some of you didn't know how to pronounce it. Well, neither does Ellen.

Now I'm going to enjoy the last day of visiting with my parents, wait for our NEW COUCH to arrive (whoooo hooo!!!) and continue to edit pictures for tomorrow's post.

And oh yeah, last week on Tuesday I mentioned that Thursday's post would likely contain a whole lot of garlic, but it didn't. The reason I said that is because on Tuesday afternoon, Sam, Rachel and I helped turn a whole lot of garlic bulbs into individual garlic cloves so that our CSA could plant them for all its members for next year. We had a lot of fun, as you can tell below. Plus we cracked a whole lot of garlic. And Sam and Rachel played really nicely with some sticks and rocks when they weren't "helping!" My hands smelled awesome for the rest of the night.

  2. The blog looks GREAT!!! SO fun!!! The picture of your in your 'about me' section is so gorgeous!! And the little Canada leaf (alright, maple leaf, I suppose) is a fabulous touch. Also...how do you grow garlic from a clove? This sounds like something I should be doing.

  3. Awe, you're welcome! You know it was the least I could do. And see, everyone loves that picture of you. ;-). And I just saw the new couch on instagram and it looks great. I like what Bekah said about a new blog house which is very appropriate to go with your new house! :-)

  5. You'll be happy to know that I dug out my NZ journal and brought it with me for my 8 week school placement. I'll try and get some more blogs about NZ up soon - I haven't even got to the good stuff yet!!!

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
