Fun On A Fall Afternoon

On Sunday we did some outside work on the house and then I raked some leaves. Sam wanted me to make a big pile so he could jump in them. Then he wanted me to jump with him, and then it was Dave's turn. And then we started throwing leaves. It was a lot of fun and the stereotypical Fall thing to do. Miss Rachel was napping and missed the whole thing. Looking at these pictures I was reminded of this post from a day like this with Sam almost exactly four years ago. I can't believe he was ever that small :)

Also, we took 179 leaf pictures and I am only sharing this many of them. You're welcome! And be sure to check out my new favourite picture of me and Sam about halfway down, the one where we're lying in the leaves together.

  1. I am so jealous of you living in a place with 4 distinct seasons! I'm sure it's not fun in the dead of winter, but I'm longing for some of those fall leaves here in Texas :)

  2. Loooove these pictures!! My favorites are the ones where yall are sitting and throwing the leaves in the air, though. Your leaves and grass and house-as-backdrop are just perfect!!

  4. I LOVE all of these! And you know you don't have to apologize to me for posting too many pics. It is just too hard to narrow down pics when so many are this good. Yes, the picture of you and Sam is gorgeous, and Dave's is great too. I love seeing daddies and sons playing together...they just have the most fun! Sam putting leaves on Dave's head reminds me so much of Evan and Eddie! :-)

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
