I realize it's almost July 10th but I'm still catching up on my "10 on the 10th" posts. I took the pictures on the actual days but just didn't get the posts done. So here's what my May 10th looked like. I'm throwing it back two months here :)
May 10th was a slightly cold, spring Saturday, and I'd volunteered for Rachel's dance show the previous night. Thus, I started my morning around 8:30 with drinking coffee-hot chocolate, lying under a blanket, and ignoring the clean laundry waiting to be folded. (How many pictures have I posted exactly like this on the blog?!?!?!?)
By 9:30, I was drinking my coffee-hot chocolate outside, admiring the pansies. As you can see we hadn't gotten our big outdoor table out yet.
This was the first year Rachel danced in all three shows so I volunteered for two of them. Rachel and I were giving another family a ride so, while we waited for them, we took some silly selfies in our trunk! This was at 10am.
By 11:20, I was volunteering and took a quick picture of some of the props. The show was Alice in Wonderland, among other things, so the props were extra fun!
By 3pm I was home, probably drinking a Coke, and taking some pictures of some of the spring flowers in our yard. The ones on the right are mini tulips and they open and close every day. I keep thinking I need some regular tulips as well but I've just never gotten around to planting any.
I decided to slow my day down a bit by walking to the theatre for the evening show. I was volunteering before the show so I had to leave a little earlier than Dave and Rachel. I love walking on my favourite path.
Since I was at every theatre rehearsal, I'd captured pictures of Rachel in most of her costumes, except for Jazz which was the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. So I ran upstairs to her change room to get this photo. The show was so much fun to watch, as always!
Back home at 11pm, with the flowers we bought for Rachel to celebrate a full weekend of dance! I think this photo is a little blurry but that's probably how I felt at this point in the weekend! Hahaha!!!
The May show week of rehearsals and weekend of performances is always so exhausting but I know I'll miss it when Rachel is done. I just love seeing her do her thing and how much she absolutely loves it.
Beautiful life! Can you believe this is already two months ago? Summer can slow down now!
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was a fun day!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fabulous day! I remember show days feeling so busy and just a bit stressful but now I do look back on them so fondly.
