In an attempt to publish this post in a timely fashion, I'm starting to write it on Wednesday night. We'll see if this strategy works out for me! (Full disclosure: The above sentence is all I wrote on Wednesday night. Hahaha! The rest of this is being written at work on a break.)
1) Rachel was my co-worker
We had a Professional Development day last Friday and, due to some unusual circumstances, Rachel would have been home by herself all day. She chose to come to work with me instead. She was an amazing assistant and got paid with a Venti Starbucks drink and Door Dash! She was so excited to order Door Dash and I was thrilled with how much work she got done. Win-win!
2) Saturday family walk
On Saturday I decided I wasn't letting the weather hold us back and we went for a long walk uptown. We ordered lunch from our favourite sandwich place, dropped books off at the library, and got ice cream. Even though it was so cold the kids wore their winter jackets, we had a fun time nonetheless.
We each got a different San Pellegrino to go with our lunches.
3) Night with Tim & Janice
We got together with Tim & Janice and had a good night of visiting and watching a new favourite show together. We also got to catch up with Willem which was an extra treat!
4) Good Wordle game
I had an excellent Wordle game earlier this week. 'Nuff said!
5) Geese and goslings
Much as I dislike geese, I really enjoyed watching some parents with their goslings earlier this week. They were hanging out along the path for a couple of days and I couldn't resist taking some pictures.
6) Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals!
Even though I didn't stay up for overtime, this was such a fun game to watch! Go Oilers!!!!!!!!
7) Backyard soccer with Sam and Dave
I was going to add pictures to this post last night (it's Friday morning) and publish it, but a couple of things prevented me from doing so. My favourite thing was I went outside to check on Sam and Dave at about 9:15. We ended up playing soccer in the backyard for about half an hour. I came away with a huge bruise on my leg from taking the soccer ball off the side of it (ow!) but we also laughed a lot and had so much fun! And yes, it was fairly dark by the end so I'm glad the soccer ball is white. I hope we have some more late evening, backyard, soccer these next few months.
Picture from this morning because I didn't bring my phone out last night :)
So those were some of my favourite moments from this week. I'm so glad I'm doing this because it helps me look for, and remember, the good in each week.
Yesterday we saw some ducks and their babies crossing the road and it was so cute!
ReplyDeleteWay to go on your Wordle! I hear geese can be such a nuisance. We get some down here, but there not overwhelming. So great that Rachel chose to go to work with you. Always nice to have a helper.
ReplyDeleteI would have screamed with that Wordle! LOL
ReplyDeleteLooks like that lawn needs mowing.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I hate what a nuisance geese can be and yet I can't resist watching them with their adorable gosling babies. It sounds like you had a great week!
