I Spy: Week 51

I'm so excited that Lysha at A Camera and A Cookbook is continuing her I Spy Challenge for 2022. Even though I haven't always been super timely about posting (see today's post, for example!), I've so enjoyed these posts every week. And I've also really enjoyed getting to know the other I Spy bloggers. We're a small but committed group. So on to the second last "I Spy" post for 2021.

Let's Play iSpy 2021

The challenge for this week was to "make a collage with the 4 shots from each category." We took these pictures quarterly so here you go.

{Backyard}

From top to bottom, left to right -- our backyard in January, May, July, and October 2021. The spring, summer, and fall pictures don't actually look all that different. Oh well... Next year, I will try to take them all in the same perspective -- either landscape or portrait.

{Front of House}

Again, this is the front of our house in February, May, August, and November 2021. I feel like you can see the changing of the seasons better from the front.

{You (Selfie)}

If we do selfies again I'm going to take my "winter" one outside. I love how the rest of them turned out!

{Your Choice}

Even though I am a week late, I am using pictures which I took in Week 51 of 2021. I love this picture of Sam and Rachel which I captured during a walk. They were waiting for Dave, my mom, and I to get back from exploring and lying down in the field.

We celebrated with a lot of prosecco while at my parents' house. This bottle was to celebrate the fact that our suitcase arrived (after a two day delay) and we could finally relax and really be on vacation! Plus I love the sparkly ornament in the background and the tree lights shining through the glass.

  2. Your house is adorable. I envy your clothesline; my grandmother had one when I was growing up and I can still remember the smell of the sheets when she would pull them off the line. My sisters and I used to run through the laundry, which drove my grandmother crazy. Those were good times.

    1. I LOVE our clothesline! It makes me so happy. Thankfully the kids are past the stage where they play in the laundry as it's drying!

  3. WHY have I never thought of doing quarterly shots of, well, life? I did them of my beloved prayer chapel in Marion, but after that, it seriously never occurred to me. I LOVE THIS!!

    1. Yes, it was fun to put them all together. I'm glad Lysha, the host, asked us to do that.

  5. I really like the collages of the different seasons. I also wonder if I should join this challenge, but I find it hard enough to take one good photo a week!

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
