Photo Of The Day - February 24 - March 2, 2018

I'm so proud of myself because I managed to take a picture every day this past week, even on my crazy Tuesday! It probably helped that I haven't had to pack, or unpack, a single suitcase for three weeks now. Whooo hooo!

February 24, 2018 -- Technically the kids have had two hours of religious school every Saturday morning at the synagogue since September. (Religious school is like Sunday School). Dave and I were so excited about having a couple of hours of date time every week. However, between crazy schedules, illness, my book club moving to Saturday mornings, and various other things, this might only have been the second time we spent the morning together. We celebrated by going to Starbucks and getting groceries. Cue the music: Can you feel the love tonight? Ha!

February 25, 2018 -- The grocery store was out of tulips so I took a chance on these. They are stock and have a very strong smell. And they started dropping petals about three days after I bought them. Boo :( Sorry stock, I don't think you're for me. Although for some reason, they do remind me of lilacs.

February 26, 2018 -- One of our family splurges is a bottle of Bath & Body Works soap for each of us. We try to stock up when they're on sale and we enjoy finding new scents. The kids love picking out their own soap. I fully admit that it's a little insane that we have four soap bottles in our bathroom :)

February 27, 2018 -- Here's my crazy Tuesday picture :) Sam practiced piano before we walked to his piano lesson. He loves playing and I love when he randomly sits down to play. We rarely have to remind him to practice. Whew.

February 28, 2018 -- The kids took advantage of the warm weather to practice tennis.

March 1, 2018 -- I rarely fold laundry in the mornings but our pile was out of control so I took twenty minutes and folded three loads. Yikes.

March 2, 2018 -- I need to do a whole post on kids and chores but this day Rachel started putting her and Sam's lunches together. It made me so happy to see another step towards independence. It helped that it was a pizza day, but she made almost the entire lunch for her and Sam.

  2. Yes please do a post on chores!!!! I’d love a glimpse into what chores look like with older kids; helps give me a goal to aim for.

  3. The stock flowers are beautiful, but that drives me crazy when petals fall! And go Sam!! I had planned to put C in piano (or teach her myself) this year, but I don't think she's quite ready. It's so cool to see them enjoying something like that.

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
