It's a survey! A Valentine's survey! It's been awhile since I've done a survey and I think this one has some fun questions.
First Date: Technically, our first date was to see The Departed. I don't know why we picked it...? Since we were housemates, we were spending a lot of time together at home. We decided we should try to go on a date outside the house, rather than just staying home all the time.
Interested First: I think Dave was interested first. He definitely brought up the possibility of us being a couple first.

Who Said I Love You First: Dave did. I was hesitant to say it too early in our relationship so I said, "I something you" for about two weeks after Dave told me he loved me. Then I realized that was dumb so I told him I loved him too.

Most Stubborn: Definitely me!

Falls Asleep First: While I technically go to bed, and thus fall asleep first, if we go to bed at the same time, Dave usually falls asleep first as I tend to stay up reading.
Cooks Better: Dave makes more elaborate meals, I cook the most.
Better Morning Person: Me (by a lot)

Better Driver: Dave is a more cautious driver, I tend to be more aggressive. Which of us is the better driver?!??!?!
Most Competitive: Definitely me.
Funniest: Well, if you count "dad jokes" and puns, then Dave is the funniest.
Where Do You Eat Out Most At?: Fast food places. Sad, but true.
More Social?: Probably me.
Neat Freak?: We're about the same, which is good. We both tend to fall on the neater side.
Who Picks Where You Go To Dinner?: We compromise.

Hogs The Remote?: Uuuummmm.. Dave would say I do, I would say he does. We don't have a remote but we both want to be in charge when it comes to technology.
Spends The Most?: Neither of us is a spendthrift...
Did You Go To The Same School?: Technically we went to the same university but it was ten years apart so...
Furthest You Two Have Traveled?: Probably New Zealand or Kenya.

Soooo... I was going to try and take a cute picture of Dave and I last night and then I had the most stressful day at work I've ever had. It involved a missing student and hours of searching on one of the coldest days of the winter we've had. It all ended well (THANK YOU GOD) but, by the time I got home, I just wanted to crawl into bed. I was DONE. So sometime this coming weekend, I will take a current picture of just Dave and I post it. I promise. Until then, I'm just praying that today is a more normal work day with the regular stresses of work :)
I didn't know that you were almost 10 years older! That's a unique fact about the two of you!
ReplyDeleteLoved all the pictures and some things I didn't know about y'all. BUT what an ending!! How scary, and I'm so glad the child was found. My best friend's daughter left school one time and was walking around downtown Austin (IN FIRST GRADE), and it was awful!

ReplyDeleteHigh five, sister...we are 6 years apart and I am older. Has never really bothered me until lately. I feel so much slower than I ever have, mentally, physically and just don't feel right. Hopefully I am still just getting over whatever we had a few weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures and your responses to the questions. Sounds like you have a good marriage and partnership. I am the loudest, most stubborn at our house. And I tend to get up earlier on weekdays but later on weekends. You all have certainly traveled the world together. How wonderful!!
P.S. I am so sorry about your stressful workday. We used to have 'runners' at my elementary school. It was very worrisome. Glad your day had a happy ending.
