End Of November Reading

Clearly, reading was not a priority for me in the last half of November :) I prioritized visiting with my parents and sleep. How many more days until Winter Break when I can read a book (or more!) a day?!?!? I really need a chunk of time to just be able to sit and read. I do have some half-finished books sitting on my nightstand but these are the only three I finished in the last half of November.

From the Ashes: My Story of Being Métis, Homeless, and Finding My Way

This was both a hard and inspiring book to read. Thistle has had a very hard life, much of it brought on by his circumstances. If you can get this book (I don't know how widely it's available outside of Canada), I highly recommend reading it. It hit a little too close to home sometimes, due to some of the experiences I had living with my siblings. (I wrote more about my siblings here, if you're interested.)

When Sparks Fly (Spark House #1)

I loved this book. It was a fun rom-com about best friends who fall in love. Their relationship isn't perfect, but it's a fun one to read. This is the first book in a trilogy and I hope I remember to read the other two book when they're released.

Once There Were Wolves

Okay, this is our Blog Friends Book Club book (well, one of two) so I don't want to say too much about it before we've had a chance to discuss it. However, I LOVED it. You need to read this book. (I will try to remember to write more about it in my next book post, after we've had a chance to discuss it.)

I am almost done with another three books as I write this post so my next book post should be a little more robust. I'm glad that if I only got a bit of reading done, than at least I read three really good books.

Thank you for being interested in my life as I blog it and for leaving a comment. Comments make me happier than reading a good book and drinking a cold Coke. Almost :)
